Questions & Answers

1

Is this a non-profit organization?

Not at this time. Level Playing Field Arkansas currently operates as a community initiative under an Arkansas LLC. The long-term goal is to grow the program and explore nonprofit

status in the future!

2

Are sponsorships tax deductible?

Sponsorships are not charitable donations. Instead, they are promotional partnerships that provide businesses with marketing and community recognition opportunities through our

website, social media channels, and sponsor communications.

Businesses should consult their tax advisor regarding the treatment of sponsorship expenses as a business advertising or marketing expense.

3

How much of my sponsorship goes to athletes?

The goal is to keep administrative costs as close to zero as possible. Because the initiative is volunteer-led, sponsorship dollars will primarily go directly toward athlete opportunities

and support. For 2026, 100% of funds go to athletes.

4

Can I sponsor a specific athlete?

Level Playing Field Arkansas is rooted in fairness and equality. Due to these core values, sponsorship funds will be applied to all athletes based on need and availability.

5

I see the athletes in club and school uniforms. Is there really a need for funding?

Yes. An athlete participating in club or school volleyball does not necessarily mean her family can comfortably afford all of the costs that come with playing. Financial needs and experience may differ. Some may need full funding, while others may only need a percentage. We don't judge an athlete's need by what uniform she's wearing. We look at the actual cost of the opportunity and the circumstances of the athlete and family.

6

What do sponsors receive?

Because this initiative is brand new, we cannot offer a large marketing package. Sponsors will receive website recognition, social media acknowledgments, impact updates,

and stories showing how their sponsorship helped local athletes.

7

Why focus on athletics?

Athletics help children develop leadership, discipline, teamwork, accountability, confidence, resilience, and time management. Sports can also open doors to college opportunities, scholarships, and future success.

8

How are athletes selected?

Since this initiative is brand new, we are starting with a small group of athletes. Once funds are established, athletes will complete a simple application process. Selection will be

based on financial need, athletic participation goals, available funding, and community recommendations, if any.

9

What is your long-term vision?

Our long-term vision is to create a sustainable community-supported program that removes financial barriers for young athletes participating in all sports, not just volleyball. We are starting with Sylvan Hills (since that's where it all started!) but our goal is to expand to include all sports throughout Central Arkansas.

10

What payment methods do you accept?

We currently accept checks, ACH transfers, credit cards, debit cards, and online payments that can be made directly via our website.

11

How are sponsorship funds used?

Funds may be used for athletic shoes, equipment, camp registrations, skills clinics, travel expenses, club fees, and athletic participation costs. Whenever possible, payments will be

made directly to providers, camps, clubs, or vendors rather than distributed directly to families.

12

How can I get involved?

We welcome support from businesses, individuals, coaches, mentors, community partners, and volunteers. For more questions, email us directly.
